Having just listened through the entire album, I have to say: wow. Very relaxing and chilled out. I don’t listen to a lot of chiptune music, or even electronic music, but this has awed me. I see this helping with anxiety and sleep problems, something I’ve been recently trying to remedy with music, so I’ll be giving this album a purchase. I might even have a look at the game on Steam too :)
I like the way it’s not quite 8-bit; it sounds retro, but has those touches of modern electronic music, using soft synths and mellow bass sounds (yeah yeah, I have no idea what I’m talking about -_-). Anyway, I recommend Fastfall to anyone who enjoys video game music, or anyone that needs some relaxation. Perfect for reading a book to or lying on the bed and spacing out to.
I think I’ve actually spent more money on indie-game soundtracks in the past 3 months than I have on any other music in the last year, but that’s because it’s just so satisfying to spend £2-10 on such incredible music, and to be supporting small independent video game composers at the same time.
Fastfall, the name of this soundtrack, is composed by Terence Lee, who can be found at:
